Dr. Mohamed Sultan, the Governor of Alexandria, conducted an inspection today at the factories and production lines of Alex Apparels Ready-to-Wear Garments Company, located within the General Investment Authority premises in the Ameriya Free Zone. The purpose of this visit was to assess work progress, ensure the well-being of factory workers, and promote investments that contribute to the revival of the Egyptian economy.
The Governor commended the efficiency of the company’s factories and the high quality of its products, all of which are exported abroad. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest standards across all factories in Alexandria to create competitive products for global markets.
During the visit, the Governor examined the company’s existing factories and explored the new production lines designed to increase capacity. He also inquired about the workers’ conditions, ensuring their needs were met and addressing any potential complaints.
Notably, Alex Apparels operates in the ready-to-wear garments industry, providing 2,200 job opportunities for Egyptians. With a capital of one million dollars and total investment costs of 34 million dollars, the company plays a significant role in the local economy.
Accompanying the Governor were Mr. Osama Talba, Chairman of the General Administration of the Alexandria General Free Zone Council, Engineer Ahmed Osman, Head of the Ameriya Second District, and members of the Board of Directors of the General Investment Authority.
